Brilliant: Cartier in the 20th century exhibition
Denver Art Museum, from November 16th, 2014 to March 15th, 2015
Following the success of exhibitions at the Grand Palais in Paris and the Power Station of Art in Shanghai, the Cartier Collection will now be on display at the Denver Art Museum. An exceptional show which will present a selection of 72 original archival documents, 254 historical pieces from the Cartier Collection, and pieces on private loan from individual collectors and official institutions such as the Prince's Palace of Monaco and the Qatar Museums Authority.
As the twenty-ninth exhibition to feature the Cartier Collection, "Brilliant" will explore major themes and inspirations from the Maison's history, including style icons, Art Déco, Royal Courts, and countries such as India, Persia, Egypt and China. The exhibition will be the first to highlight the Collection's men's accessories and smoking accessories. Additionally, there will be an entire display dedicated to the Cartier workshops, paying homage to the Maison's rich legacy of fine craftsmanship and expertise in high jewelry, fine watchmaking, and precious objects.
