FELDSPAR
The largest group of minerals in the Earth’s crust, their name is derived from the old German "Feld" meaning “field” and "Spath" meaning “mineral”.Feldspar occurs in many varieties, each with a specific chemical composition but sharing the same physical structure and characteristics. Different feldspar are used in jewelry for their colors and iridescent quality. The most precious varieties are labradorite, moonstone, sunstone and amazonite.
