Imbued with the spirit of a Creator of Fine Watchmaking, the Cartier Manufacture never stops reinventing the traditional functions. This has been confirmed once again in the design of the 9908 MC Annual Calendar movement. This caliber has been entirely conceived and produced by Cartier development teams in order to incorporate the most important operating characteristics of an annual calendar: readability and functionality. These criteria have influenced the principal choices in designing the 9908 MC movement.
Firstly by incorporating a Large Date for excellent readability. And also by making the crown the only means of correcting the calendar functions, in order to simplify operations and settings.
The movement is fitted into a Rotonde de Cartier 45 mm case. The large opening of this elegant, masculine watch reveals the creativity of its design in the innovative display of days and months under the central dial. This watch, regulated just once a year at the end of February, shows the date, the day and the month. No other correction is necessary.

Annual calendar complication with days and months indicated by a hand, large date at 12 o'clock. 18K white gold case, beaded crown set with a sapphire cabochon, sapphire crystal, silvered, open-work grid with sunray effect, black transferred Roman numerals, slate-colored galvanized and guilloché central zone, slate-colored galvanized guilloché lower dial with silvered day and month zone with sunray effect, sword-shaped blued-steel minutes and hours hands, sapphire case back. Alligator-skin strap with double adjustable deployant buckle in 18K white gold. Water-resistant to 3 bar (30 meters). Manufacture mechanical movement with automatic winding, caliber 9908 MC, individually numbered and comprised of 239 parts including 32 jewels.
