The 9914MC movement, invented and developed by Cartier, combines several original features from the multiple time zones complication: lateral cities disc, indication of "Home" time by a 24- hour hand, and automatic adjustment for summer and winter time. The lateral cities disc is an integral part of the movement that makes the watch simple to use when changing time zones. The multi-level dial includes a delicately drawn world map with a day/night hand making it easier to read.

Case in 18K white gold, octagonal crown in 18K white gold, set with a faceted sapphire. Mineral glass, white galvanized guilloché dial, silvered openwork grid with sunray effect, and transfered black Roman numerals and transferred blue oceans. Lower dial sunray effect with transferred blue. Apple-shaped hands in black oxidized steel and day/night hands in rhodium-coated steel. Black alligator-skin strap, double adjustable deployant buckle in 18K white gold. Water-resistant to 30 meters (3 bar).Mechanical Manufacture movement with automatic winding, caliber 9914 MC, with 283 parts including 27 jewels.
